Black Turmeric (Curcuma Caesia) is a perennial herb with bluish-black rhizomes , [2] is native to northeast India and some parts of South India. The plant is called Kali Haldi because it is used as a puja item in Goddess Kali in West Bengal. The rhizomes have medicinal properties.
